Warning
The weather has been so good to us, hope it stays this way as we are getting very busy and it looks like it’s going to be a cracking year, this means two things, great for us, but also brings out…
Mr dodgy and his van!
When it is time to choose your mover, golden rules is he is a member of National Guilds of removers or BAR The NGRS always visit once yearly for an annual inspection These are the only two bodies that monitor their members and you must keep to the standard of membership, plus if in the worst case scenario you have a problem, you have a third party that will help you solve your issue
Being a member of any other association does not offer the above, some might be members of FSB, this is a membership for company help admin and law, Not you. Master craftsman, Move Assured and Trusted Trader are minimal memberships and review sites, they offer no protection or monitor their members, the only other is Buy With Confidence which is run by Trading standards, this is not easy to join, but we ARE members for extra peace of mind for our customers, and we are the only remover with this within a 100 miles radius .
Check out credentials don’t trust their word
Make sure they have a proper business address
Make sure you’re not dealing with a mobile number, get a landline number
Check out their email address that it’s not a yahoo or Gmail or similar, as anyone can get these online.
Don’t go with Mr cheap or none vat firms as this means they are either not doing many moves, or hiding cash jobs, and if they are so cheap they are not offering the same service.
Please take note
If any company offers you a cash price with no vat, what does that say about their integrity, and you may have a problem as this would mean they would remove any record of your move with them, so if you had a problem you have a
BIG problem.
Good result for March, we came 2nd in the top ten removers, just losing to a London remover, click on link below to view .
